what to wear

Now that virtual hearings are in full swing, you should anticipate having to prepare for one eventually! The usual concerns will come to you rather quickly, such as what do you need, how will they work, etc. There is probably one thing that you won’t think about for quite some time, and that would be: what will you wear?

We know, you probably don’t even care what you’re wearing when you are home. “A court date over Microsoft Teams? Awesome, I can wear sweats!” You may want to rethink that. Looking professional will not just give you confidence in yourself, but it will give everyone else the impression that you’re taking it seriously, too.

You don’t necessarily have to put on your best suit, and maybe you can still wear sweats, but the attorneys at Wolf & Shore Law Group want you to know that the other parties to your hearing will take notice. A nice shirt and having your hair neat will go a long way.

Dressing well is a great indicator of respect for the process. It is essentially just as bad to show up for your virtual proceeding in your pajamas, as it would be for you to show up to a physical court date in your pajamas.

If you think you need some guidance in preparing for your virtual hearing, we are the firm for you! Attorneys Kristen Wolf & Shari-Lynn Cuomo Shore can assist you in the preparation for your hearing, essentially on a consulting basis for out of court advisement, to make sure that you feel ready, and comfortable.  If you are looking to make your virtual hearing easier, not harder, we are the firm for you.

Ever argue with a woman? Let Wolf & Shore Law Group go to work for you. Call us at 203.745.3151 or email us at info@wolfandshorelaw.com.
