I have a custody order with my ex-girlfriend. We were never married, but have 2 children together. The current order says that we each get 2 non-consecutive weeks of vacation each summer. I don’t know if we can travel this summer. Can I do a staycation with my kids under this agreement?
If you want the short answer, it’s yes. You can absolutely do a staycation with your kids for the 2 non-consecutive weeks. In fact, that is likely the safest option right now. We recommend that you request your vacation time in a timely manner, and make sure it is in line with any stipulation that you have.
We understand that in times like this, issues may arise regardless. Should you need help with your custody agreement, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can make your custody issues easier, not harder.
