Dear Attorneys,

With the ongoing health crisis, I continue to hear the word “contactless.” I can get groceries and takeout with a “contactless” delivery option. I was wondering, is it at all possible to have a “contactless” divorce? I truly need to start this process and can’t wait much longer, but I understand the safety concerns. Do you have any way to help me?

Sincerely,

Health Conscious

Dear Health,

We understand that the stress of this public health emergency only creates more tension in a broken-down relationship. You are still able to start a divorce in the midst of this! We can draft all of the necessary paperwork, compile your financial documents, negotiate with your spouse or their attorney, and complete a final proposal. We can even file your final agreement with the court without having to go before the judge. Just know that once the current crisis subsides, you will need to ultimately go to court and enter your final agreement on the record so that it becomes a valid court order.

If you would like to learn more about how you can have a nearly “contactless” divorce, please reach out to us. We can be reached at 203.745.3151 or info@wolfandshorelaw.com. We would be happy to set up a confidential consultation for you.

Very Truly Yours,

Wolf & Shore Law Group
